Help Identifying Marks on Silver Platter

Post by Betsyam »

Hello,
My dad recently inherited an old silver platter from my grandma that my grandpa got during World War 2 in Germany. Below are a picture of the only markings on the platter and a picture of the whole platter. Please let me know what you know about any of these markings. Thank you so much!

Scroll down, there is a lot of information on Gebrüder Friedländer

I don't know why this is in the silver plate section, but the crown and crescent moon (German silver marks) and 800 signifies that the piece is made of silver, but not sterling, as it is only 800 grade silver.

Gebrüder Friedländer - well-known court jeweller in Berlin - was the seller of this item. The letter H stands for Emil Harnisch *11.12.1862 +19.5.1935 silversmith at Friedländer's, who made the platter.
