Early Peter Bruckmann & Söhne?

Postby orthogonal » Sun Nov 16, 2014 6:58 am

A dear friend of mine found those spoons. I tried to find the hallmark, but did not succeed. I suppose they are "Bruckmann & Söhne".

Is it Bruckmann?
Is there a way to narrow down the age?

there is no general reference book for German silver of the 19th century. For the identification of the patterns after 1884 you need the catalogues or literature about the makers. My source for Bruckmann was "Silber aus Heilbronn für die Welt P. Bruckmann & Söhne (1805-1973)", but I think this book is no longer available.
