German Cigarette/Cigarillo case??

A few questions:

Could someone help me to identify the origin of my Cigarette/Cigarillo case? I'm think it maybe German??!!

Could you also help to roughly pin it down to year/era of manufacture??

German yes or no??

Definitely German post 1886 mark but you need to zero in on what appears to be a worn mark to the right of the 800, very faint.

I've looked very closely and there is a very small, but impossible to determine mark next to the 800.
In your opinion, would you say the crest is almost certainly 9ct gold and is there a particular name for the design of the case? (ribbing)

Honestly I would not be able to fathom a guess on the possible content of the applied crest.
