hello,
has anybody an idea about this mark?
The spoon was stamped twice with the same mark on the bowl. It might be expected that it is a makers mark, but it looks like a city mark.
Kind regards, Ringo

Hi Ringo
In my old Poincons d'Argent on page 55 there are some very similar looking marks
from Grosswardein circa 1800 under the Austria/Hungary section.
May be your answer although slightly different surround to the marks.

Hello Ringo!
I think, in this case you better forget Grosswardein (Nagyvárad). I've seen a lot of time, and it's totally different. It's represent a lion with an axe, sometimes without his axe.
This is the old coat of arms of Grosswardein (Nagyvárad)

There is an example of the hallmark around 1800.

I think, that you agree, this is totally different to yours without reference to the different age.
Best regards!
Krisztián
