Perhas French fromm the markings but not 100% sure

Post by norman02 »

Hi all

I have found this delightful little teapot where the lid opens from the side. To the inner spout there are many holes for the strainer.
A similar mark i saw under French silver but not exactly the same.
Hoping someone could be of help or point me in a direction where i can do further research as to the mark and origin

best regards

Hanau silver is always, or almost always, solid silver, usually .800 fine. There are often legitimate German guarantee marks on the piece, often hidden in the decoration on the side of the piece.
