Pictorial Marks on Victorian Purse

Postby redfernvintage » Fri Sep 20, 2013 3:48 pm

Hello,

I have been trying to identify this pictorial mark and have totally failed. There seem to be several mark, and I can't figure out any of them! This is on the top of a victorian beaded purse. If anyone has any ideas or knowledge about this, I would love to learn.

Here is a link to the picture:

Hi,

Welcome to the Forum.

Your mark image is upside down. It's German, 800/1000 silver.

See: http://www.925-1000.com/Fgerman_marks.html

A clearer image of the other mark may reveal the maker.

Trev.

That's embarrassing, I don't even know which side it the right side up!
Thank you, that will help on my research quest!
