is this German

Hi i have this lovely enamel and silver cigarette case, blue on one side and amber on the other, i think its German made though not sure, also its seems to have a makers mark but dont know who this could be or what era its from, any help would be great

Hello, looks like "ND" ligated. In that case it is Nicolay and Duncker, listed as a Hanau retailer (not maker). The actual maker might be someone else. Best wishes, Bahner
