Hi Ubaranda,
Not having knowingly seen this mark before, I can't add much, but I believe you are likely to be correct with the source location of Hanau (H a/m = Hanau am Main). That said, then 'GR & Co' is perhaps George Roth & Co.

Hi Alex,
I'm not sure. Does it have a handle? Silver is an excellent conductor of heat, without a handle, even though the hot liquid was contained within a glass, I think it would be uncomfortable to hold.

No handles. I will think it's for cold drinks :-).
