Hi all!
I recently bought interesting German item. I suppose that it is produced in Hanau, but don't know who is the maker. I would be grateful for any information.

Hi Ubaranda,

Not having knowingly seen this mark before, I can't add much, but I believe you are likely to be correct with the source location of Hanau (H a/m = Hanau am Main). That said, then 'GR & Co' is perhaps George Roth & Co.

See: http://www.925-1000.com/Fgerman_hanau_marks_01.html

Hopefully others with a better knowledge will add their thoughts.

Trev.

Hi Trev!
Thank you for your reply! I hope you're right. And what do you think this is glassholder or something else?
Best regsrds. Alex.

Hi Alex,

I'm not sure. Does it have a handle? Silver is an excellent conductor of heat, without a handle, even though the hot liquid was contained within a glass, I think it would be uncomfortable to hold.

Regards, Trev.

No handles. I will think it's for cold drinks :-).
