Is This German Silver pre 1888?

I wonder if anyone can settle the marks on this spoon once and for all.

It carries what has been suggested is a German 3 Tower hallmark with makers mark being that of B&G.

Also been suggested it may be Danish and made by Bing & Grondahl , however I am more thinking it may be German.

Beneath the Tower mark is what looks like the letter 'E'

Any help at all would be most appreciated.

Hi Colin,

Brahmfeld & Gutruf of Hamburg.

See: http://www.925-1000.com/Fger_hamburg_01.html

'E' indicates the assaymaster Johann H. J. Wienicke who was working 1858-1865.

Trev.
