A c.1800 coffee pot which I assume to be German. Does anyone recognise the marks?

Hi Miles,

Surely a chocolate pot, with that side handle?

Does the knop open up to take a wand?

I think you're right, Trev. The lid does have space for a wand.

Thank you for your answer, Theoderich. Do you think you could tell me more about Harck & Lippold? And did Malchin produce much silver in this period?

Hi Miles,
the problem is, that Lippold was born 1805, master in 1832, +1878 in Güstrow

I think Your pot is about from 1830-40

the hallmark from 1837

the hallmark from 1813
