German ladle for soup

Hello,

Although I reveiewed all the site, I was unable to identify the producer and the year of my german soup ladle. Total weight of the ladle is 231 gram, length is 31 cm. Could anyone please help me?

Hello, looks like this was made around 1830/50. What is the mark on the left ? The numer '12' or the letter D ? Best wishes, Bahner

I have no idea what is the mark on the left, I can see just the same as you can :) I haven't ever came through such sign. Can you say for sure if it is made of silver? Thanks.

Hello, if this is a '12', it means 12 Lot, standing for 750 / 1000 parts silver. Íf this is a letter, it might be the town mark. This would also point at silver from Germany, probably of a low quality. I checked for the Name Aschhoff but found no mention of it. Best wishes, Bahner
