This flatware was manufactured after 1888, probably beginning 20th century. Manufacturer was "Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik" (WMF) in Germany. The hallmark is the ostrich in the rhomb. The hallmark 800 means 800/1000 parts of silver, half moon = silver, crown = guarantee of government, in use after 1. Jan. 1888. The seller was the jeweler M.W.Brandt in Hamburg.

This pattern was, originally, WMF Modell U, which was in production from 1894 up to WWI. It was released, again, after the war, as Modell 500. I don't know that WMF ever gave it a name, but collectors refer to it as "Perlrand" (pearl edge), "Perlmuster" (pearl pattern), or just "Perle" (Pearl).

I stand corrected. This is not WMF Perlrand/Pearl (Modell 500). My apologies. I'm getting too old to depend on my memory, I guess. I should have double checked.
