Hi,

I can't help with the maker, but the mark on the right hand side of your last image is a Austrian Import mark.

It is of utmost importance to tell the size, what is it? It could be an egg cobbler.

The size fits being an egg cobbler. You crack an egg into it and close the lid. Then you sink it in a kettle filled with water and boil it. After that have a good meal :-)))

Hello, maker of the silver parts is Johann Franz jun. from Schwäbisch-Gmünd, Germany, active ca. 1892-1988. Best wishes, Bahner

Hello again

Now when the maker became clear I have to revise my statement. You see the maker is known for manufacturing smokers' accessories like cigarette cases etc. He also make photo frames and pocket accessories in silver. Therefore it is quite possible that it is a cigarette box/jar. Which one it is, is....? The size fits them both...I tend to believe in the cigarette case.
