Identification of a spoon from 1833, Makers Mark SEILER

Postby Joerg » Fri May 20, 2011 4:19 pm

Dear Forum Members

please help my identify this spoon. The donation inscription dates the spoon to 1833, the inscription is German. The makers mark reads SEILER. I have the spoon from an online auction, so no further clues from what region it origins. I suppose Germany, so I post it in this section.

Thank you

Jörg

Hi there

Tinypic.com provides links. It seems I have more success with the pictures direct in the article. So one more time, here are the pictures. Thanks to ImageShack.us.

Has anybody seen a similar pattern? It is the only item I have with such a style/patern. Has anyone an idea from what region this spoon could be?

Thank you

Jörg
