[img][img]I recently purchased this wonderful Hossauer tankard at auction.
Fortunately I was able to rescue it from the scrapper that was bidding on it.
Unfortunately I was unable to locate the tankard before a previous scrapper pulled the gold wreath off. It is still an amazing piece. Eventually I may explore trying to find a competent smith to place a wreath back on it. I do have a question about it though. I cannot translate completely what the engraving says. If someone would be so kind as to assist me I would appreciate it.
The left side says: "Berlin den 1ten April 1786"
"Spandau den 1ten April 1836"
The center says: "Den
Konigl
Oberst Lieutenant der Artillerie
Herrn Konig
zu seinem 50 jahrigrn
Dienst
Jubilaeum"
The right side says: "Van den
Officieren
und
Militair Beamten
der
Garnison
zu
Spandau"

Thank you for your help and I hope you enjoy the photos.
