butter knife mystery mark?

butter knife mystery mark?

I have butter knife that is marked "P.E.B" and has a what think is crown with cross coming out of top both these marks are on the knife blade. On the bottom of the handle stamped 13 in a square, and another sqaure with the cursive letters "AW" any help on finding out maker will be very appericated.

Hello,
A cutler is a steel worker specialized in in the grinding of blades and the mark you've shown us is a cutler's mark. If you illustrate the marks on the handle, we may be able to identify the origins of the piece.
