Spoon marked with a fleur-de-lys, probably Wiesbaden?

Postby R ingo » Wed Dec 09, 2009 6:10 am

Hello,
I have found another spoon with a fleur-de-lys in combination with a maker's initial and 13. Is this also a mark from Wiesbaden?

Kind regards,
Ringo

It would not surprise me if there is also a Schellenberg ;-)

Wiesbaden - Schellenberg, Ad.; Schellenberg, Arn.

Hello

R ingo's photo don't show up - also not by double click.

Despite shown "maker's mark", objects from at least mid XIX century on often «factory made» and only be retailed.

This is fact in Europe and elsewhere, e.g. USA.

1903 were registered two shops (not workshops!) of "Schellenberg" in Wiesbaden:
Schellenberg, Ad., Webergasse 7
Schellenberg, Arn., Langgasse 53

Kind regards silverport
