Hello,
I am shure, the Tea Caddy is made in the Area of Hanau.
As Silverport posted correctly, I didnt found any mark for Röll & Stephan. And if they had choosen any mark, they would not have combined the Coat of Arms of Hanau and Großkrotzenburg. Because the companies of this towns worked in strong competition.
The next reason for having no company-mark is the dimension of the company. Small companies sold their products to a wholesaler and mostly they marked the goods with the mark of the wholesaler.
A further reason, why I dont believe, its the mark of Röll & Stephan ist the number below the mark. This number is a modell-number and has been used in this combination with a mark for registered modells. I havent found any registered modells for Röll & Stephan. This was at all time a very small company and the registration of modells was expensive.
The mark could also be the mark of a (foreign) wholesaler or of a retailer.
Kindly regqards,
Johanna
