Help needed with salter

Found this little salter (9X6,5cm) in Germany, but have no idea where to place the hallmarks. Will appreciate any help finding out about town and silversmith. Thanks in advance.

The first mark being very unclear, I tried another photo with different lighting... and hope it helps

it is Ludwigsburg in Baden-Württemberg Germany

Hi Theoderich, I have some doubts; if you compare the eagle of Ludwigsburg and the eagle of the salter (if it is an eagle): Ludwigsburg has 1 head, the salters eagle is doubleheaded. Could it be Neuss? doubleheaded eagle with a cross on the right side...

The mastermark ist NH - but I have no books about Masters of Ludwigsburg.

But who can help with the maker? That little bit in Rosenberg is not giving any clue...

Yes Wolfgang - this is the problem. I have only the Rosenberg as a book with makersmarks.

So I contacted the Württembergisches Landesmuseum in Stuttgart - they were extremely helpful: it is "Gold- und Silberarbeiter" Christoph Jacob Nikolaus (=Rufname) Häberle , son of "Silberarbeiter" Johann David Häberle born 1785 in Ludwigsburg, married 1811 and became widower in 1848. Stylistically the salter was made between 1811 - 1815.

there is an other makersmark Häberle

or Haeberle


but I am not sure - is it the same maker
Christoph Jacob Nikolaus Häberle?
