Does anyone know the makers mark on this oil lamp. It is 800 silver and crystal. The mark looks like a crown to me. Any help is appreciated!

The marks are the German crescent moon (very faint) - crown - 800 - maker's mark.
The maker's mark seems only a partial, but a photo of it from a different angle may give us a chance of identifying it.

Considering the size and form, believe you have a cigar-lamp/-lighter, intended to burn alcohol (spirit) rather than oil, the cap prevents evaporation.

It’s, as Cheryl already mention, a cigar-lamp (fuel: spirit).

The cigar-lamp is made in style of hollowware product range by Th. Müller, purveyor to the court of Weimar. He combined lead crystal, made in France and Belgium for his workshop, with silver rim, caps or other functional parts. His «office range» was almost in straight line and basic, geometry inspired, shape. They were, in a kind of industrial design, also very ergonomically — lead crystal cross cut on functional area; e.g. for hand over light to another person.

I miss second part of a no dated catalogue (but before WWI); there were shown on plate XVI some four model, Nr. 1256 Cigarrenlampe, 1257 Cigarrenlampe (2 slightly different), 1258 Cigarrenlampe.

Problem in this case is, I’ve known maker’s mark of Th. Müller - TM intertwined — imaginated so as it is, 90 º to the right, 90 º to the left, 180 º too = no match at all.

Well, of course could be a competitor copied Th. Müller’s style — but the shown fraction of maker’s mark I haven’t actually any clue for a possible competitor.

I advise cap to take contact to the archive of German town Weimar — maybe they have a catalogue of this range?
