Aug Schluter - German manufacturer - details sought

My mother was given this set as a wedding present. I cannot find out anything about Aug Schluter and would appreciate any information. Thanks.

The maker is Wilkens (Bremen)

So what does "Aug Schluter' mean? Did he work there?

Hello,
Auguste or August (not sure of the German spelling) Schluter would be the retailer of the flatware. He would have put his mark on the pieces before selling them. If he did regular business with the manufacturer, he may have had an agreeement with Wilkens whereby they would have stamped his name for him during the manufacturing process.
