Hi,
I guess that it could be Johann Christoph Demessieur in Berlin, Königlicher Hofjuwelier (jeweler to the court), master 1822 - ca. 1860.

Hope this helps!

Best regards/JAKJO

Thank you very much- but on the Kelch (calyx)the Name Demesieur have only one S.
Could it be?
I am wondering - Berlin have a bear as townmark - and there is no bear.

Hi again!

I read clearly two "s" and the other capital S is perhaps the maker and not a Berliner, perhaps the reason why it lacks the bear and the assayer's letter and Demessieur is in this case the retailer.

Best regards/JAKJO

I have googelt for Demessieur and found this:
Kleiner rechteckiger Zuckerkasten auf vier Blattakanthusfüßen. Glatt, um den Deckel Kannelurenfries. Auf Deckel Applike mit zwei kl. Cherubinen, nach den Details auf der Sixtinischen Madonna von Raffael. H. 7,5 cm. Gew. ca. 280g. Beschauzeichen, Wardeinmeister Andreack und Meister JD im Rechteck: Johann Demessieur 1794- nach 1840 (Scheffler, Berlin 1733). Berlin, um 1820/25.
it is the same or his father?
