Hello.

Looks like Hanau Germany pseudo marks.
Not sure of the manufacturer.

Wait for other opinions.

Pat.

Hello, a crowned G (is that what we are seeing here ?) was used by Hanau makers. Some attribute it to Georg Roth. This certainly looks like a Hanau product. Best wishes, Bahner

Thank you for your response. I'm not sure if that is a crowned G, it's so distorted above the G. The 800, I understand, but what does the middle symbol mean? Any way to date this? I am learning so much here!

Found these marks on a Louis Seize-style sugar bowl, imported to Sweden by C G Hallberg in Stockholm and marked with the town mark ”head of St Erik”, patron saint of Stockholm, the Swedish import mark ”three crowns in an oval”, ”S” as in Silver and the date letter Y 7 and that is 1925.

The interesting thing is the Maltese cross and the ”swan over shield mark”. The last mentioned is recognized by me to be that of Gebrüder Glaser of Hanau. This could perhaps be a clue to solve the mystery.

Best regards/JAKJO

Hanau, yes, but I think Georg Roth is the maker; see this thread.
