Hello and welcome.

Thanks for sharing the picture of your impressive ivory stein.
Can't identify the marks, but I enhanced your picture of them.

Here's a picture of a 19th century ivory German stein to compare.
It is 19.5 inches ( 49.53 cm.) tall.

Hello Pat,
Thank you very much for enhancing my pictures. Your stein is really impressive and splendid !!!
Regarding mine stein I thing that the ivory is 3-400 years old (cracks, work, so.) but the silver could be some Hanau 19C work (??!).
The first (2 swords) mark look like Rosemberg no. 3624 and the third one like Rosemberg no. 3633.
Thanks again and best regards,
Pimy

Pseudo marks are a posibility, but I can't say for sure.

The reason I say that is the color of the ivory on your stein.
20th century reproductions often had an orange color because they were treated with heat or some other "ageing" process to simulate patina.
However, authentic old ivory steins are often as white as they were originally. Light has sort of a bleaching effect on the ivory.

Theodorich, these marks are almost the same as the ones i had on my ivory box.

I believe it is safe to assume that this tankard was made by the same maker as my box.

I'm not sure. Your Box have 3 Marks. A makers mark a townmark and a 13 Loth mark. Most Hanau silver have more marks.
