Help to Identify Hallmark on teapot. Thanks Jayne

I've seen the mark on the left before, and I believe it to be the mark of Gebrüder Glaser of Hanau, a firm founded in 1883 by brothers Thomas & Hugo Glaser and Louis Birkner. The company merged in 1914 with Wolf & Knell to form the Vereinigte Silberwarenfabriken of Hanau, whose mark was identical to the one here, but for the lettering: "VS/H" instead of "GG/H". In light of this fact, I think the "GG/H" in this mark can only stand for Gebrüder Glaser of Hanau.

Admittedly, Scheffler's Goldschmiede Hessens shows a different mark for Gebrüder Glaser: a script "GG". But I note that Scheffler's mark is from 1903, and it could well have changed between then and 1914.

That's my theory, anyway. I can say that I've only seen the mark in conjunction with pseudo-marks as here (though not these exact ones) and on pieces such as this, whose florid rococo revival style reveals its Hanau origin.

Do you think its sterling silver?

Silver, but possibly not sterling. Although the marks used by many Hanau companies were meaningless pastiches, their wares were usually .800 silver or higher.
