Need help ideantifying hallmark

Hi,

I checked your site first but couldn't find my mark. I have a pair of gold cufflinks. They are marked with a crown, underneath that is letters that are interlocking, facing backwards - either C's or G's, followed by 14K.

Hi, what about "Cartier" ? Seems to be 1960s or 1970s

Agree with the dating, but have never been able to connect this mark with Cartier.

The Brand Name and Trademark Guide 1984 by JCK lists a company with the opposing C's and a crown similar to your mark but not exact as the Charlson Corp which they note as assumed to be out of business. Rainwater has no listing of this company.
Not much more to go on but I agree that this is not Cartier.
