Pocket watch chain from Europe around 1900

Hello, I bought this chain from an auction from a German seller. I was not sure if this gold chain was "solid". I showed it, to a jewelry-maker and told me that tested as solid gold 14K piece. (The black areas is because the chain burned in the past and can return to the shinny gold by using chemicals/not just cleaning) He couldn't understand the hallmarks. The chain part has a complex hallmark and the clasp/tassel part have an "A" mark.
I believe that the "A" states that is from Vienna. My request is 1) if I guess right about the "A" hallmark 2) about the other hallmark 3) if the hallmarks show that the chain is sold gold, and if not, why there isn't any gold hallmark (maybe the chain isn't finally gold, the jewelry-maker was wrong)?
Thank you in advance, Pericles
