Hi Guys, very long shot. I got this little toy chair the other day and just thought it was brass or copper. I noticed a makers mark on the back. I was testing a bit of gold the other night, trying to learn how to recognise colour changes and I put some acid on this chair expecting it to froth like a base metal, but no change. I tried the acid again and no green or blue colour as I see with base metal, it just tarnished it a bit dark brown/black where the acid was.
It doesn't hold a magnet either. I have no idea of the metal except it is yellow in colour. Here is a photo of the object and the mark. If anyone could educate me to either the metal or the mark, I would be extremely grateful.
