Unknown countermark on gold Ottoman coin

Post by AG2012 »

Ottoman Empire Mehmed V 500 kurush gold coin: 1327 Hijri (1910) reign year 4, Istanbul mint, gold .917, weight 36.08 g.
Countermark looks like combination of numbers and letters.
There are well known re - strikes of Ottoman gold coins of lower fineness (18K instead of 22 K), but they are usually without countermarks.
Thanks for helping.

Hi,
Not a real coin but rerplica of Ottoman coin.
They are made and sold by jewelers in Middle East, not even meant to decieve, because they mark it with karat number (21 or 22 in this particular case) and maker`s initials (two letters on the right in the mark).
Meaning, every collector will easily recognize it.
Regards
