Gold cufflinks with marks and interesting design on front

These were inherited but not where the original owner got them from, potentially the middle east.
The design on the coin style cufflink itself appears to show two figures sharing a Hookah with a star above and below.
It is Gold 875 so very fine quality by the looks of it.
The two following marks appear to be
1. A heart or triangle (possible with indentation in the middle of the filled out symbol)
2. A letter with slight curvature suck as "j" or "t" but it may also be a cross?

875 corresponds to 21 Carat, which is common in Arabic countries, excellent purity but very soft.
