Inherited Ring Identification

Postby gady » Thu Jun 23, 2016 9:03 am

Hi there

I recently inherited a ring, I thought it would be pretty easy to identify because the hallmarks are clear, but after looking through all the identification guides I could find on the internet, I couldn't match it up to anything?

Maybe I'm being stupid and someone here could tell me at a glance what hallmark it is?

Any input appreciated,
Cheers

Hi,
Your ring was imported into the UK and stamped with the London Assay Office import mark in 1998. This stamp was used to hallmark 9 carat gold.
Sponsor`s mark MJ was seen in 1977 but not identified.
I cannot help with the country of origin.
Best wishes
