9K gold ring dating/makers mark

Hi

My partner has received the below ring as a gift, we have been trying to date the ring and identify the makers mark.

The ring appears to be Chester, 9ct, but I am unable to find the date mark J on any sites.

Also the makers mark is very worn down so struggling to identify that too.

Charles Lucas & Son, 111, Vyse Street, Birmingham. The ring was assayed at Chester in 1959.
