I'm looking for help on deciphering a hallmark found on a 14ktwhite gold diamond and pearl ring.
I can make out 58 something so I know it's 14k but where its been previously altered the rest is missing. The bit I can't work out is a symbol that looks like either two inverted 'F's or an old fashioned 'H' before the carat marking. The more I look at it the more I think it's an 'H'.
I've taken some photos which aren't great i'm sorry. I've also added a sketch of what it looks like through the glass.
If you could help me out i'd really appreciate it :)
