I am trying to identify the maker's marks on my wedding ring set. They are not truly a "set", as one belonged to my husband's grandmother and the other belonged to my own grandmother. I do not have exact purchase dates for these, but the wedding itself for the wedding band occurred in 1950. The wedding involved for the engagement ring occurred sometime in the early 1940's.

Some additional information I have been able to get from an antique jeweler:
Based on diamond cut and ring style, the engagement ring dates to the 1940's. He said the letters are possibly: EIDEL (there is one more item following the L, but unsure what it might be).

As for the wedding band, he said the style dates to the 1930's-1940's and is definitely American based on the Karat markings. The symbol is possibly a couchant lion, though it appears to possibly have forward-facing horns.

That is all I have been able to get so far. I am hoping someone here might have some additional information.
Thank you!
