pendant - hallmark identification needed

This was giving to my wife as a thank you. It is probably not worth anything but it does have a "mark". I don't even know what the stone is. I am interested in the mark. What does it mean?

I believe the mark is upside down and is the Egyptian mark for Alexandria 18k or .750 gold.

It looks like it is relatively modern, but the mark has bee used for almost 100 years. The stone is probably synthetic.
