Need help with 3 strange marks

I recently came across this gold ring and have absolutely no clue as to where it came from or what these marks mean.

I've gone through pages and pages of hall marks and maker's marks but nothing even remotely similar has come up.

It looks like a faded number, which we think is a 14k, then the word GOLD clearly, then a crescent moon, followed by something I can't make heads or tails of, and finally what might be an animal of some kind.

If you turn the ring upside down you can read the number 8789 instead of "GOLD"
