Gold Makers Mark Help - Enamel Earrings

Postby pauline5555 » Tue Jun 02, 2009 8:49 pm

I have a pair of clip on 14k and enamel earrings I came across. Thought at first they were contemporary but now I am not sure. Would love some help with marks and possibly origin. The hallmarks are quite small. I will work on some more pictures. They have a 14K . Then there is something that looks like a hand or torch with the number 3 in it. At the bottom is 585. One more set of hallmarks I can't decipher.

Hi Pauline,

While your post is old, if you still want a bit of information on your piece, I can tell you that the hallmark with the lyre is an Israeli hallmark. The 585 represents 14k, and the number 3 indicates a weight between 5-10 grms for the piece. This mark is fairly current so you are correct in assuming that the piece is contemporary.

Hope that helps.
