Is this a gold mark? or what do you make of it?

Looking (again) through some old items I had gotten from relatives,Cam across this wedding band.Originaly thought it was silver.But, Looking closer the mark I thought said 925 really does not look like it. What exactly is it ? or what does it look like to you? Looked sort of like two eagles or bird heads facing each other
