please help identify mark on 14k gold mesh bag/compact

Could anyone please help identify maker's mark on this 1930's 14k gold mesh purse/compact? Have been told possibly Whiting & Davis. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure, but that might be one of the marks used by Durand & Company, Newark, New Jersey.
In business up to c.1922.
