necklace marks ,italy who made it? or what they mean

Found this necklace today at a Thrift store. Curious as to what the marks all mean.Maybe the maker or age etc. It is marked Italy I think it is fairly old. And what are those link types?

I believe the 417 indicates the item is 10K gold, the star/number/letter(s) mark indicates the item was made after 1968 [according to the Italian World Marks listing] and also indicates the region and maker (although I don't know where to find the specific information).
