Unidentified Hallmark on S&P Shakers "WW" over

Postby wheelskm » Thu Oct 04, 2007 5:41 pm

Hello,
I would appreciate any assistance in finding the maker / date of this cut glass S&P Shaker Set with STERLING CAPS. The initials appear to be a connected "WW" with a scripted "S" laced through the "WW"

Hello.
That mark was used by the Wilcox Silver Plate Company.
Founded in 1865. Became part of International Silver in 1898.
Don't know for how long International Silver continued to use this mark.

I spent a couple of days checking but did not come across that exact mark --thanks a bunch.
