Dating a Tea Set

Postby Tayra » Sun Jul 01, 2007 3:06 pm

Hello! I was just wondering if anyone would be able to help me date this set.
There is only one with a silver mark. The rest are marked with Ryrie - Sterling. But the one tea pot has these beautiful yet puzzling marks on the bottom.

I've determined that its Sterling .925 from Birmingham, but the date is still a mystery to me. I took a close up scan of the bottom. But I still cant tell if the Date stamp is a M or a E - and none of the patterns look similar? Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Thanks so much in advance for your help!
