Gorham bit of mystery... :0)

Hello again!
We have a Gorham spoon that has multiple marks and wondered if anyone out there could set us straight about what it all means.
It has the usual Gorham lion, anchor, G ... then up the back of the handle, it has a Pat. Mar. 20. 1895 [I think it's a 9] and then an H in a diamond. I thought the H might be a date mark, but H indicates 1874 [impossible with an 1895 patent date, right?] and it's monogrammed from 1913, so the H can't be from the 40's or sooner....
Suggestions, anyone?
Thanks for any and all help!
Sincerely,
Susan
