New Mark ID

Post by Campbell »

Hi, I am trying to identify these marks on the bottom of a silver piece.
There are 3 marks: "STERLIING", "65" and a pair of rounded branches with a sword inside...I think.

Thank you!

Hi,
WILCOX & WAGONER - New York, NY
Active in the 1900s. Beginning about 1900, Watson Company produced a line of sterling hollow-ware for Wilcox & Wagoner using the "sword and laurel wreath" mark. Wilcox & Wagoner closed down c.1905 and Watson continued producing with this mark until 1929.
