But I am intrigued by the symbol and markings on the back side of this little silver tray.
I bought it many years ago from an antique store in Yuma, Arizona.
Origins unknown.
Date and place of manufacture also unknown.
I'm assuming it's silver plated since it's not particularly heavy.
3.5" long, 2.25" wide.
On the back is pressed:
STERLING
the mystery symbol
1198
Any help in solving the mysteries would be greatly appreciated.
(And I will gladly return the favor with free guitar valuations. I'm an expert at that, but sadly not silver.)
Photos, including my clumsy drawing of the symbol.
Thank you in advance!!
:)
