Please help to id a mark on Sterling shell spoon

I have this shell spoon from my grandmother's estate. It is marked sterling with some sort of other mark and I can't make it out and haven't seen anything on the site resembling it. I am not even sure it is American. Thanks for any help that you can provide.

The pattern is called Virginia, and it was first introduced by Alvin in 1900.
