I can't identify this mark

This "-W-" mark is on the bottom of a pair of glass lined salt dips. Above the letter, the piece is stamped sterling. I looked in the Dorothy Rainwater book, which I have always found to be a good resource, but nothing has matched the mark. Any help is greatly appreciated, Thank you
