Black Starr & Frost AND Gorham

Postby Ysbub » Tue Jul 12, 2005 10:16 pm

I have read here about Black Starr & Frost, Black Starr & Gorham, but I have not see a listing like this:

The mark is on 2 out of this set of 8 cordials... the other ones just say the Sterling and 7079 part of the mark. I'm presuming they are all the same as it is a set of 8 all monogrammed the same.

Perhaps this was during a transition time of their partnership? Any thoughts would be appreciated, Thank you!

Black, Starr & Frost used your mark from 1929 to 1940, when the Gorham retail store merged with them and the name was shortened to Black, Starr and Gorham.
