Towle Sterling Spoon Hallmark Dating

Postby retro-active » Sat Jul 30, 2016 1:37 pm

I have these spoons acquired from an estate.I am trying to date them but I don't see any information online about when they stopped using the Lion T stamp, if they are still using it, or if there is a way to determine age. don't understand why they didn't include another stamp to date the pieces.

The T-lion and 925/1000 marks have been in use for more than a century. Those spoons were still in production in the 1970's.
