i I'm new to this forum. I've been unable reaeato find out any information about this Tiffany cup. I picked up it says Tiffany & Co Sterling 1261. I believe it's a Tiffany baby Cup. the only similar number and size cup I saw was one by Tuttle model or pattern 1261. the cup I have measures approximately 2.75 inches tall and 2.75 inches opening. It weighs 140 grams. I'm unable to find anything under Tiffany 1261 on the internet and I'm trying to find out the approximate age of this cup. My guess is its around 1880 to 1900 but any advise would be great.

Hi Ctsilver,

Welcome to the Forum.

You will have far more chance of getting a response if you embed your images as few people will click on links.

Hi Ctsilver,

As Trev has just pointed out embedded images are far more likely to get a response.

You said you couldn't find out anything about Tiffany & Co design 1261 on the net...you can find when the pattern was first introduced on this website if you look for it. Thi,s plus additional information on dating Tiffany & Co is on the same webpage...

As you will see, it is was designed earlier than you first thought. Just keep in mind, that we don't know how long the design was manufactured, so it could have been made anytime after.

Thank you Trev and Steve. I appreciate your responses. They were very helpful. From the chart, looks like possibly 1860s. I will make sure I use embedded images in the future. Thanks again. Bob
